How long does it take you to design a website?
This depends on many things, such as the complexity of the website, the information I am given to create the site, and the number of websites I am already working on. The more detailed and organized information you can give me, the quicker I will be able to create the site.
To prepare for your website's design, please contact me for a website consultation. Please complete the pre-design questionaire and bring it to our meeting.
As a general answer to the question...it usually takes a couple of weeks to get your website up and running.
Are you available to support my website 24-7.
No, sorry. I work a regular day job and sleep at night. I work on websites a few evenings each week and can answer your questions at those times. You can ALWAYS send me an email and I'll answer it as soon as I can. I check my email multiple times each day, and help is never far away.
How much does a website cost?
This depends on the complexity of the site. A domain name costs $10.00 per year. I charge $15.00/hour for website design and maintenance. To get an estimate for your website, submit the pre-design questionnaire.
Can you help me develop brand identity?
I most certainly can. Once your website design is completed, I can create coordinating brochures, mailers, business cards, stationery, car signs, and more.
Do you offer discounts?
Not usually. But do you own a restaurant near Foley or Fairhope? Check out my Design to Dine program!
Can you design e-commerce sites?
Although I CAN design e-commerce sites, I generally decide not to. I find that many people have difficulty maintaining and attending their e-commerce sites after they have been designed.
I'm not good with computers. Can you help me?
Well, to a certain extent. I'm usually able to answer questions you may have about your web site and search engine optimization. I will help you set up your email and give you login information for other useful tools such as traffic reports.
However, I can't teach you how to use a computer, or how to send email, or what a browser is. These are basic skills that you should have before you consider owning a web site. I would highly suggest a college business communication course for ALL web site owners. It will give you great skills for communicating with your customers!
I'm working on a collection of links to helpful tutorials that may help you through the process.
