I work closely with my commission clients to provide beautiful, well crafted pieces to cherish for weddings, quinceañeras, gifts, special occasions, or for anyone who just wants that little something extra to help them feel special.
Whether we are re-working an existing piece or whether you are looking for something completely different, I will make certain you remain in the loop throughout the entire process. My clients receive regular updates, including pictures of the work-in-progress, so we make certain the piece is exactly what is desired.
First, email me what you have in mind. The more details you give me, the better.
What type of item are you wanting? What size or length? What colors or color combinations? Do you have a specific stone in mind? Do you want incorporate metals? Do you prefer gold or silver? Do you want the piece to be matte or sparkly? Do you have an existing item you want to incorporate into the piece? Is this piece for a specific event on a specific date?
Help me help you by giving me the best picture of your final vision.
Most importantly! Be sure to tell me what your budget is for the piece. I will do my very best to work with you on how we can stay within it.
We will communicate every detail in order to be on the same page regarding your piece.
After we are ready to execute your vision, I will mock up a design and provide it to you along with the final cost estimate and timeline to create the piece. We will make adjustments as needed.
Once you are satisfied with the details and are ready to proceed, I require a deposit down payment of half of the cost of the piece to proceed. I do this for two reasons.
The first is in case there are additional materials that need to be procured. I keep many stones and metals in stock, but occasionally a client wants to incorporate a little more than what I have, or something that is unique to them.
The second is to make certain that potential clients are serious about having a piece made. I put a lot of time and effort to make certain my pieces are well crafted and exactly what my clients want. Your payment means you are serious, that you are officially my client, and that you will receive the very best of me.
During the process of creating your piece, I will send you updates and pictures of how the piece is turning out in order to keep you informed. I do this so we can make sure that it's coming together in the way that you imagined. Also, if you require any revisions, we can stop and revisit your vision.
In cases of extreme revision, I may need to revise your estimate, but we will discuss any additional costs or timeline changes so you can decide what is best for you.
When the piece is completed and we are ready to get it to you, simply pay the remaining balance and I will package and ship the item to you or arrange for a local pick up.
I warranty my custom pieces for one year and keep a record of my custom clients for this purpose. If you have any issues going forward, I will be there to help make it right.
Luckily, to date, I have not had a client abandon a custom piece mid-process. However, in case a client wishes to abandon after the work has begun and the deposit has been received, I will charge an abandonment fee that is equal to the amount of time and materials that have been invested and deduct that from the deposit. The remaining portion of the deposit will then be returned to the client.
I will do everything in my power to make certain my client is satisfied and that this does not happen. I truly take great pride in my customer service and I love seeing my clients happy to see their vision take shape.
